About Apogee Tahoe

At Apogee Tahoe, we believe that everyone has the potential to succeed. Our mission is to help learners unlock their full potential by providing project based learning and tailored education services that meet their unique needs. 

Our program started out with 8 families in a small church room in 2021. We obtained a license for Acton Academy in 2022.

 We implemented Acton for a full academic year, before we learned that Apogee Strong was expanding its existing program to include "Apogee Schools." Acton was an amazing program, but it was still failing to meet the true needs of our community. 

Apogee seemed to fill the gaps by allowing for more of a "coaching" environment and ability to learn along-side the students. 

Apogee encourages families to go along the educational journey with their kids, and offers optional coaching to families.

Nutrition, physical activity, health and wellness were all heavily focused on, and encouraged in Apogee. 

Apogee's project based learning designs are more intentional, focusing on life skills that will stick with them and serve them in the future. Core (reading, writing, math, spelling) is not only incorporated into all of the projects, but is also supplemented through online programs, workshops, group and individual reading.
